They call me Mr. Ahmadinejad

Published by stickball at 1:26 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

When Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad addressed the United Nations General Assembly last week, he made some good points. He mentioned that “bullying powers” are responsible for much of the trouble in the world. How true. Some international players just can’t seem to keep their nose out of other countries’ affairs and have to butt in everywhere they do not belong. This usually leads to more trouble than good.

Mr. Ahmadinejad also predicted that one of the most egregious of these interfering powers, the US, and its empire “in the world is reaching the end of its road.”  The exact timing may be in question, but there is little doubt that the US empire, like all empires in the past, will not go on forever.  Like the Roman, Ottoman, Russian and other empires, it will slowly lose its influence in the world.  That’s just the way history operates. Constant change.  The sun seems to be beginning to set already.  Reaching the end of the road is only a matter of time.
