Palin: Caught with her hand in the crookie jar
If there was any doubt that Sarah Palin was not the advertised maverick and reformer, but just a same-old same-old crooked politician, that doubt was swept away by the recent report on the troopergate affair. It shows that Palin and First Crud Todd used the governor’s office to further their private vendetta against their former brother-in-law Trooper Wooten.
Wooten had already been disciplined for his actions, but the Palins wanted blood, and worked overtime to get it. They apparently did not draw any line between thier private family feuds and the public office of governor, but used it to try their best to get Wooten fired. When Public Safety Commissioner Monegan would not go along with their plans for revenge, he was fired. Does this sound like someone who is a maverick government reformer? Or more like the dishonest crooks we are all more familiar with. There is at least one take away lesson: Don’t mess with the Palins. They’ll make you an offer you can’t refuse.
