What goes up, must come down, even McCain signs
A few days ago, I blogged about the McCain/Palin (Dumb and Dumber) yard signs that had slowly appeared in the neighborhood over the last month. At the time there were four signs up, growing like a small plague. But today, there are only three.
Yesterday, driving by the yard where the first sign took hold, I noticed something. The sign was no longer upright, but had been uprooted and was lying on its side in the yard close to the road. Taking a quick glance over, I saw there were a number of dents in the sign. Definitely a deliberate move.
The other three signs are still up, and who knows who or why the first one was struck down. If signs had the vote, McCain would win in our part of the country. Fortunately, they don’t, and I have the feeling that, come November 5, the McCain/Palin signs will be coming down for good, and on their own.
