Pittsburgh Steelers: Midweek Break

Published by stickball at 5:31 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Still celebrating that great 33-10 win over the New England Patriots.  The Steelers haven’t manged many blowouts this season, so enjoy them when they occur.   The big D really came through in that game.

Now that there is not the pressure of a next day recap, let’s look at the rest of the Steelers’ schedule, cause it’s a rough one.  This Sunday the Dallas Cowboys come to Heinz field, so if there is anything like a home field advantage, it will help the Steelers, but it will still be a tough game, and things don’t get any easier.  After the Cowboys, the Steelers travel to Baltimore to play the Ravens, who are only one game behind Pittsburgh in the AFC North.  Their first meeting ended in a very close Steelers win.  See, things don’t get any easier.

After the Ravens, the Steelers travel to Tennessee to play the Titans, who now have one of the best records in the NFL.  It won’t help that the Steelers will be playing away from home.  Pittsburgh wraps up the season at home against the Cleveland Browns.  This is the one game left in their schedule that should be a gimme, but their first meeting ended in a low-scoring Pittsburgh win, so maybe this game isn’t as easy as it looks.

All in all, the Steelers have a hard final four games.  If they show up to play as they did against the Patriots, things will go well.  If not,  the Steelers might be in trouble, depending on how the Ravens do in their last games.  All the games will be on TV, so we’ll be able to see how the Steelers do.

So, before the Cowboys come in this Sunday, there’s still a few days to relax and enoy memories of the Patriots game.  It was a good one.  Hope most of the last four games are just as good.  Go Steelers
